Welcome to the Princeton Songwriters, a chapter of the Nashville Songwriter's Association (NSAI), currently co-coordinated by Arlon Bennett and John Sonntag.

General meetings are held at 7:30pm on the first Tuesday of each month at the First Reformed Church, 9 Bayard Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

THE NSAI MISSION STATEMENT:

The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) consists of a body of creative minds, including songwriters from all genres of music, professional and amateur, who are committed to protecting the rights and future of the profession of songwriting, and to educate, elevate, and celebrate the songwriter and to act as a unifying force within the music community and the community at large.

* New Coffee House - Second Saturday Music Cafe

A new coffee house will be starting in October at the First Reformed Church of New Brunswick, NJ on the corner of Neilson and Bayard Streets. www.secondsaturdaymusiccafe.com. Princeton Songwriters Coordinator/Performing Songwriter Arlon Bennett will be opening for Chuck Brodsky in February. Princeton Songwriters members will also receive a reduced admission at all shows! Promoter Frank Glaz mentioned that Second Saturday Music Cafe will give local undiscovered talent an opportunity to perform as an opening act.

Shows begin every Second Saturday at 8 P.M. Tickets may be ordered in advance for $35 or pay $40 at the door. (Special price for children 12 and under $10 - not available in advance.) Second Saturday will be held upstairs in a spacious room with tables. Via Dolce of East Brunswick, NJ will be providing quality coffee and pastry for the shows. International (NSAI) will host the industry-leading Song Camp 102 at
Nashville's Millennium Maxwell House Hotel July 20-22, 2008.
Songwriters of all levels will have unparalleled access and critical
training by some of the most successful writers in music.

Song Camp 102 is a stand-alone program, headed up this year by hit
songwriter and author Jason Blume and Tim Johnson. The multi-faceted
camp has a large and varied faculty allowing participants to choose
from a menu of offerings depending upon personal interest and
preference of class subject. From melody, to rejection at its finest,
to the art of the publishing deal, to rewriting and the dos and don'ts
of Music Row -- you'll be inundated with the tools and information

Do I Succeed?In addition to Blume, who has had songs recorded by The
Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, John Berry and Steve Azar and

includes Brent Baxter, Liz Hengber, Charley Stefl and Chuck Jones.">
Baxter has had his name on cuts by Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Lady
Antebellum, and John Pierce. Hengber has had cuts on albums for Reba
McEntire, Andy Griggs and Clay Davidson, and she is also the author of
The Do's And Don'ts Of Music Row.Since moving to Nashville in 1984,
Charley Stefl has had cuts by Garth Brooks, the Marshall Tucker Band,
George Jones, Lee Ann Womack, Blake Shelton and a host of others.

pitch, write "Food Song" in the subject line. The MP3 must be no less
than 320 - not 128, which is typical for the MP3s that you usually
